Warhammer 40,000
Warhammer 40,000 or simply Warhammer 40K is a miniature-based tabletop game. It involves building and painting your own miniature army and pit them against others' on a dioramic 6x4 or 4x4 feet table using a standardized set of game rules. Miniature armies come in various factions, from Imperial commandos to space-faring orks, each with its own background stories (what 40K players call "fluff") and combat units.

My army, a sub-faction of the Adeptus Astartes or the Space Marines, is of the so-called Dark Angels Chapter - one of thousands of regiments of bio-enhanced supersoldiers created by the Emperor of Man to impose his will throughout the grim universe of the 41st millennium.

Dark Angels of the Adeptus Astartes
The Dark Angels Chapter is first among legions of Space Marines bred by the Emperor from his own genetic imprints. Enhanced physiologically for combat operations, they are literally Angels of Death in the battlefield, sowing fear to anyone who dared oppose their mandate. Their homeworld, Caliban - now reduced to a barren asteroid after an epic battle against their traitorous Brothers - holds the Chapter's mobile fortress-monastery called the Tower of Angels. Here, deep within the labyrinthine pathways to the underground caverns, lies the key to their monastic nature. The Dark Angels hides a millenia-long secret that compromised their honor. It is with this reason that they and their Successor Chapters are called the Unforgiven.

Updates on Hobby Gaming

*WARMACHINE/Hordes

The fate of western Immoren rests in your hands when the war-torn kingdoms of WARMACHINE confront the savage threat of the HORDES factions this summer. A massive conflagration is coming that will shake the foundations of the Iron Kingdoms to their very core!

Summer Rampage is a 5-week long league from Wednesday, July 11 to Wednesday, August 15 run in stores world-wide that pits the factions of WARMACHINE against the factions of HORDES in game stores worldwide and features exciting new rules for league play.

My Cygnaran army is currently on the mid-tier of the ladder at 14 points in 5 games.

Other Updates:
1. I already got the Cygnar "Storm Knights of the 16" themed army card from Kim. Meaning, I can already play my Stormguards, Stormblades, and Stormclads' chain lightning abilities without worrying on electrocuting my own men. There's also a bonus "Field Promotion" ability where my warcaster has the option of getting back the precious infantry Sergeants into play (if ever they were removed from the game).

2. Bought stuffs for my budding Circle of Orboros army: 2 Woldwardens, 1 Swamp Gobber Bellowers, 1 Wolves of Orboros boxed set, 1 Wolves of Orboros blister pack. I already have my warlock, Baldur Stonecleaver, from Arvin so I just need a third warbeast and I'm off to play my first game with the treehuggers.

3. I need syringes for my Wolves of Orboros' staffs. The actual metal used for it is so brittle they started falling off when I tried to straighten em. Since brass rods are a little short in supply here in the Metro, Pork suggested we can use those huge medical syringes instead.

*Warhammer 40K

1. I'm done assemblying my Dark Angels infantry models to cater to the new list I created out of the latest Codex. Here's a list of what I finished:

12 Dark Angels Veteran Sargeants in close combat weapons
4 Dark Angels Veteran Sargeants in power fist
3 Space Marines in bolter
2 Space Marines in meltagun

The rest of the infantry models needed for the list can already be picked out of my outstanding collection (my old Dark Angels army).

2. My latest Dark Angels list capitalized on the cheap tanks of the new Dark Angels Codex, primarily the Predator Destructor, Rhino, and Razorback. They will constitute most of my armoured front, covered by flanking aids from several Landspeeders. This concept is taken from the fabled "Ironwing Formation" of the Dark Angels.

3. I'll be using Tamiya kits for my tanks. I already bought an M113A1 Fire Support and converted it to sport the Predator Autocannon. It looks awesome. Haven't attached the heavy bolter sponsons though.

4. Bought "Angels of Blood" 2nd edition Codex from Mang. It's the Codex for both Blood and Dark Angels. The Shak Boyz will have a flashback on 2nd Ed gaming soon and I'm hoping to have a shot on playing my Army on retro.
