Warhammer 40,000
Warhammer 40,000 or simply Warhammer 40K is a miniature-based tabletop game. It involves building and painting your own miniature army and pit them against others' on a dioramic 6x4 or 4x4 feet table using a standardized set of game rules. Miniature armies come in various factions, from Imperial commandos to space-faring orks, each with its own background stories (what 40K players call "fluff") and combat units.

My army, a sub-faction of the Adeptus Astartes or the Space Marines, is of the so-called Dark Angels Chapter - one of thousands of regiments of bio-enhanced supersoldiers created by the Emperor of Man to impose his will throughout the grim universe of the 41st millennium.

Dark Angels of the Adeptus Astartes
The Dark Angels Chapter is first among legions of Space Marines bred by the Emperor from his own genetic imprints. Enhanced physiologically for combat operations, they are literally Angels of Death in the battlefield, sowing fear to anyone who dared oppose their mandate. Their homeworld, Caliban - now reduced to a barren asteroid after an epic battle against their traitorous Brothers - holds the Chapter's mobile fortress-monastery called the Tower of Angels. Here, deep within the labyrinthine pathways to the underground caverns, lies the key to their monastic nature. The Dark Angels hides a millenia-long secret that compromised their honor. It is with this reason that they and their Successor Chapters are called the Unforgiven.

Galing akong Tin Soldier kahapon at WOW. As in WOW. Hobbyists' paradise! Nalaman ko lang to sa isang Aussie sa isang forums na pinamamalagian ko.

Andaaaaaming games at hobby related materials na available. Sa isang sulok may mga novels for Warhammer WFB & 40K, Necromunda, Magic the Gathering, Legend of the 5 Rings, at maraaami pang ibang di ko na napansin dahil sa kapapahid ko ng laway kong ayaw tumigil sa pagtulo.

Sa isang sulok naman panay Roleplaying materials. May section para sa card games of course, tapos may section din para sa "other" hobby stuffs na doon ko lang nakita pero interesting. May boardgames, collectible miniatures, at syempre miniature games!

May Warmachine at Warhammer syempre pero bukod andaaaami pang ibang miniature games na existing pala. Ang astig dito, mas mura yung prices nila kesa Games Workshop mismo. Di ko lam pano nila ginagawa yun, pero retailer sila ng Games Workshop. Ang catch nga lang, wala silang stockages. Kung ano lang nasa display nila, yun na yung stock nila. BUT.... but not bad ang nasa displays nila, updated din!

Eto mga binili ko para sakin:

1 Space Marines Captain Sicarius blister (bago!)
1 Warhammer Giant boxed set (bago!!)
1 Space Marines Scout Sniper boxed set (bago!!!)
1 Cygnar Stormguards (bagong bagong bago!!!!)

Tapos bumili din ako ng isang blister ng Dark Eldar Warriors in Darklance para kay Romy. Dalwa pa kelangan niya kaso isa na lang yung nasa stock. Subukan ko sa GW bilihin yung iba.

Namigay pa ng libreng poster. Painting lang ng isang regular player sa kanila na inimprenta nung store. Not bad, man. Sana kumuha pa ko ng madaming madami. Bakit ngayon ko lang nakita tong store na to?

Basta astig dito.

New Stuffs

I went to GW Chatswood last Saturday and here's what I got:

1 New Space Marines Sniper Scouts
1 New Space Marines Chaplain in Jump Pack
1 White Dwarf - June

Had some chat with the local staff and he showed me the XV25 Tau Stealth Suits and Ultramarines Captain Sicarius coming out this Wednesday. I may need to come back to GW because I need one more box of that Sniper Scouts, and probably I'll get me that Sicarius fig too. It's just too cool to pass.
